Did you know? Ranch Ehrlo Society’s Family Treatment Program was created in 2006 to address the need for intensive in home service provision to families in need of clinical treatment.  The program delivers research- based best practices to keep children safe, strengthen families, and reduce the need for placing children into out of home care and to provide services to minimize the time that children are placed away from their families.

The Family Treatment Program has presented their model of services internationally as this is a unique program that continues to expand resultant of the national demand for its best practice clinical family centered services. The program is award winning recognized by the Child Welfare League of Canada for its innovative services provided to Canadian families.  The agency is certified by the Council on Accreditation and a member of the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities.

The model utilized by the Family Treatment Program has been identified as an evidence-based practice by Washington State Institute for Public Policy (WSIPP) and the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse for Child Welfare. Therapists selected to provide these exciting and innovative services will receive extensive training, and will participate in ongoing quality enhancement activities.

We are currently looking for a Family Preservation Therapist to work in our family treatment programs. Every family is unique, so our approach is to consider culture, values, and family beliefs in our work. We focus on truly building a therapeutic relationship with families, engagement activities are integral in getting to know the family, and learn about their values, goals, and strengths. We additionally work with each family member on their individual goals, which contributes to the overall success of the family unit. Working with families in their home environment, and supporting their growth and development in their comfort zone, enhances their overall functioning and provides a safe environment for the children. The Homebuilders model is individualized to meet the needs of each family and can be applied to a variety of situations.

We invite you to apply if you have at least two years of in-home family work experience and:

               - Masters of Social Work degree required. May consider bachelor’s degree in a related area from a recognized post-secondary institution combined with relevant experience, and a commitment for higher education

               -Ability to provide a range of clinical, concrete, and advocacy services to family members that are consistent with the HOMEBUILDERS model

               - Exceptional individual, family, and group counselling skills. Superior relationship development/engagement skills

               - Versed in the field of mental health and child welfare

               - Strong organizational, verbal, written, consultative skills

               - Must be registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers or be able to obtain registration with this professional association

Salary range is $66,109 to $100,891 depending on education and experience.
