Faron Potts

Faron Potts, Supervisor

Faron first started working for Ranch Ehrlo in 2005 as a Child Care Worker with the Residential clients at the Pilot Butte campus.  Before this, she attended the University of Regina and received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a double minor in Native studies and Religious studies. Faron has also achieved her ECE III. She has loved working with the Early Learning Center and believes that the early years play a vital role in how children learn and grow as individuals.

Christine Shepherd

Christine Shepherd, Early Childhood Educator

Christine began her career with EELC by completing a practicum at Ehrlo Early Learning Centre in May 2008. Afterward, she accepted a casual position with the Early Learning Centre. IN 2009, Christine completed her Early Childhood Education Diploma, Level III and in January 2010, Christine became a full-time educator at EELC.


Shantimoy Chakma, Early Childhood Educator

Shanti started working with children in 2004 through Sesame Street Bangladesh co-production Sisimpur. As program director for Sisimpur, he oversaw learning content, curriculum, TV production, program design, and implementation for children and parents. Shanti completed his Masters in Early Childhood Development in 2010. He enjoys being around children and believes every child is unique, has an individual personality and learning style. It is his belief that children learn best in joyful and nurturing environments through play and exploration. Shanti has authored few children’s storybooks published by Sesame Workshop and also co-authored The Sesame Effect: The Global Impact of the Longest Street in the World (pp. 92-117) published by Routledge, New York. Shanti has his level II in ECE and is a father of two wonderful children


Rene Kettering, Early Childhood Educator

Rene started working at Ehrlo Early Learning in 2011. She also works as an EA with the Regina Public School Division.  Rene has her ECE 1 and hopes to start working towards her ECE 2 very soon.  Rene has 2 sons and keeps busy trying to keep up with them as well as two jobs.  Rene really enjoys being able to be a part of the Erhlo family and feels that children should be given opportunity to thrive and learn through exploration and discovery.

Maria Theknath, Early Childhood Educator (currently on maternity leave)

Maria started with Ehrlo Early Learning in February of 2016. She has been in the child care field for 8 years.  She received her ECE Level II in 2014 and is working towards her education to receive her level III. Maria also has her post graduate degree in autism and behavioral science that she received in Toronto. Maria loves to be with all age groups and loves being outside and enjoy letting children explore and discover things in nature.

Alina Hachkovska, Early Childhood Educator

Alina has a bachelor degree in education obtained in the Ukraine in 2003. She has worked with young children of different ages for the last thirteen years. She previously worked as a full-time live in nanny in four different countries. At the moment she am taking evening and distance classes at Sask Polytech towards my ECE level III. Children are a source of inspiration for her and she is looking forward to building nurturing relationships with the children, families and staff at the centre.

Jessica Anderson, Early Childhood Educator

Jessica began with Ranch Ehrlo as a youth care worker, and after her maternity leave realized her passion to work with young children, and began at Ehrlo Early Learning in 2014. Jessica has her level I and will continue on with her level II in the winter of 2015. Jessica believes children need fair boundaries and consistency to feel safe so that they are able to thrive and grow into successful adults.
