What are your hours and location?

Ehrlo Counselling is located at 1951 Francis Street, Regina Saskatchewan. Our hours are Monday- Friday 9am -5pm with some clinicians offering extended hours.

How do I make a referral?

Potential clients of Ehrlo Counselling can self refer to our agency. Clients or their supports can connect by calling our office (306) 751-2467 or submitting a request through our website https://ehrlo.com/counselling/ . You will be connected with our intake coordinator (usually within 48 hours) for a brief phone call to take your information. Please note that we do not take referrals through our Instagram of Facebook accounts. For folks attending Ranch Ehrlo’s Family Treatment Programs, counselling referrals can be made through your Family Treatment Therapist.

How do I book an appointment?

If you are an existing client and wish to book a follow up appointment, you can reach out to your clinician directly by phone or email. You can also call the front desk at (306) 751-2467. If you are a new client, please see the referral process FAQ.

How much does counselling cost?

Our standard session fee at Ehrlo Counselling is $180 per 50-minute session. Our clinicians are approved by most insurance companies, depending on your coverage and the provider. The intake counsellor can help you determine what might work best. Please be aware that we do not offer direct billing for most insurance providers and clients will likely need to pay out of pocket before submitting to their insurance. Some of our clinicians are approved providers with Health Canada (NIHB) and Victim Services. We also offer pro bono services and sliding scale fees based on income and need.

How much does an assessment cost?

Assessment costs range pending on the type of assessment. Current rates by assessment type are as follows:

  • ADHD assessments-$2500
  • Mental Health Assessments -$2500
  • Cognitive/Adaptive and/or Learning Disability Assessment-$2500
  • ASD Assessments-$3000
  • Occupational Therapy Assessments-$300 - $800.

What is the difference between a Registered Psychologist (RPsych), Registered Social Worker (RSW), and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)?

All our clinicians at Ehrlo Counselling are Masters-prepared in their respective scope of social work, psychology, and counselling. The clinician’s professional designation depends on the regulatory body to which they belong for the purposes of professional licensing and ethical accountability. Psychologists have completed the necessary processes to belong to the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. Registered Social Workers similarly report to the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers. Canadian Certified Counsellors are registered with and accountable to the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. It is important to note that some insurance providers may only cover services provided by clinicians with certain designations. During your intake process, we will aim to connect you with the clinician who is the best fit for your needs, and also be sure to check your individual insurance coverage.

Can I request a specific counsellor?

If you feel a specific counsellor would be a good fit for you, you can request them while speaking with the intake coordinator. It is important to note, however, that due to varying availability and capacity, specific requests may not be available at the time of referral and may require being placed on a waitlist.

What should I expect at my first appointment?

Your first appointment will start with a review of Ehrlo Counselling's confidentiality and consent forms. Informed consent is essential in the counselling relationship, and the clinician will want to ensure that you are comfortable with the process before signing. Once consent has been obtained, the rest of the first session is meant for you and your clinician to connect. They will be focused on gathering relevant information, understanding your goals for counselling, and working collaboratively to create a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

When seeking services for my child, whose consent is needed?

Children under the age of 16 need the consent of their legal guardian(s) to receive counselling services. In cases where guardians do not reside in the same household (such as with divorced parents) or there are multiple guardians involved (child temporarily receiving support through a Section 9 agreement), express written consent is needed from all guardians. If your child’s guardianship situation is complicated, please reach out to speak with our intake coordinator for more information (306) 751-2467.

Do you offer direct billing?

Currently, Ehrlo Counselling does not offer direct billing to insurance companies. This means that you will pay for the session and submit their receipt for reimbursement. It is important to use your clinician’s name that you are seeing when submitting the receipt. For clients who are accessing Health Cananda, payments are directly billed to NIHB. For clients receiving sessions through community partners or workplace EFAP, the sessions will also be directly billed to those community partners.

What is the difference between Ehrlo Counselling and Ranch Ehrlo Society?

Ranch Ehrlo Society is a multi-service agency delivering a wide ranfe of accredited mental health and developmental services in Saskatchewan. Ehrlo Counselling is a division of Ranch Ehrlo Society. However, our community-based counselling agency is open to everyone and you do not need previous connections with Ranch Ehrlo programs to receive services. Anyone in Regina and surrounding areas are welcome to self-refer for counselling services.
