Friends of ours' had been going to the centre for a number of years and when I found out I was expecting our first child, my friend said get on the waitlist - it’s the best in the city! Fast forward four years and we got in. YAY, that call was the best ever. In March 2020 our entire worlds was rocked. Everything we knew at home, school, work, and daycare had to stop. Then a few weeks later we were advised that our day centre was opening again for essential workers. My husband and I both work at SaskTel, and him as an operations lead was deemed essential. We were able to send our kids back and have continued to do so ever since. We really had no choice, and knowing they were going back to Ehrlo made us very happy. Every day dropping them off at WF Ready Ehrlo Learning Centre honestly gives us the peace of mind knowing our girls are cared for - learning, playing, and being treated respectfully and cared for by Tamsen and her team. Having them at the centre gives us the peace of mind as parents that they are safe and secure. These values have never been more prominent now that we have lived and are living in a global pandemic. Thank you for everything you do for our girls each and every day.

The other day I walked by my three-year-old’s room and was totally surprised to hear her counting in French! She can describe how to prepare lasagna in detail and has explained to me that we have cartilage in our noses. She also loves to eat celery which is something that she first began eating at the centre. Every day she comes home and shares the new songs, stories, and games that she learned at the centre. My seven-year-old enjoys spending her time at the centre learning about animals and nature, making crafts, and spending time in the gymnasium or on the outdoor play structure. I love that the centre staff allow the children to provide input into selecting activities and themes that are of interest to them. Although we love everything about the centre, I feel that the centre’s competencies are the kind and caring staff, outstanding educational programming, and healthy meals and snacks. I go to work every day knowing that my kids are receiving the very best of care! Thank you so very much!

Why did you choose EELC over other early learning centres in Regina?
The centre was a great fit for my daughter and I.  The staff were caring, warm, and welcoming, and the philosophy of EELC is in line with my values and what I wanted for my daughter for her child care experience.

How qualified/confident do you feel the staff are?
I feel the staff are well qualified and confident.  I also feel the staff is engaged in the centre and enjoy what they do.

Is your child happy to be coming to the centre?
She is.  She is learning so much and enjoying the experiences she has.

What has your experience been thus far with EELC?
Our experience has been great!  When I am talking with other parents about child care, I tell them how happy I am with EELC.

What is your favorite aspect of Ehrlo Early Learning (nutritious meals, activities based off children’s interests, trips, that we are accredited, etc.)?
While there are many aspects of EELC that I like, my favourite is the activities based off the children’s interest.  My daughter is so much more engaged in learning and playing, because it is centred around things she is interested in.

Why did you choose EELC over other early learning centres?
We didn’t luck out with home-based child care and decided to get on the list for EELC. We received a call while on vacation and had to make a quick decision without even visiting the centre or meeting the staff – let me tell you, it was the best decision ever!

How qualified/confident do you feel the staff are?
We feel the staff are both qualified and confident. Each month, we receive a calendar full of both educational and fun activities and adventures. Communication with staff comes so easy – we always feel up-to-date with what Maci is doing.

Is your child happy coming to the centre?
When Maci first started attending, she had some major separation anxiety. It didn’t take long at all for Maci to feel comfortable! Staff and other children have made her feel so comfortable. Maci feels so important when staff ask her how dance or gymnastics was – it’s so easy to see it’s not just a job for the staff. The environment is any kid’s dream!

What as your experience been thus far with EELC?
Phenomenal!! We cannot say enough how lucky we are. My once little girl who was delayed in speech and super anxious is now a totally different little girl, who is excelling in so many areas. EELC has given Maci so many opportunities to learn and grow.

I have recommended EELC to so many friends, and we cannot wait for our little guy to be a part of EELC when he is 18 months.

What is your favourite aspect of Ehrlo Early Learning? (Some examples could include nutrious meals, activities based off children’s interests, trips, or EELC’s accreditation).
There is no way I could pick one favourite thing! One of the most important things is how inviting and trusting the staff are. Every day, Maci will come home and be full of stories and is so proud of the things she is learning. I know she is eating well, given time for physical activities, and going out in the community to learn and have fun outside the centre, as well.
