The Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign was a tremendous success!

Proceeds from the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign will greatly benefit Ehrlo Sport Venture (ESV), making a difference in the lives of youth in our community.

Local Tim Hortons franchise owners chose Sport Venture as their charity of choice for the third consecutive year, promoting and giving back to the organization through the campaign.

On Friday, December 20th Sport Venture staff were presented with a cheque in the amount of $42,397 to help support and sustain the operation of its free organized sport leagues.

“We are grateful to the local owners who were fully committed to the campaign, invited us into their stores to promote the cookies, and for their belief in the power of sport,” said Gloria Patrick, Sport Venture manager. “And of course, we are grateful to everyone in the community who purchased a cookie!”

The special cookies were sold between November 18th and 24th, where all sales in Regina, Balgonie, and Emerald Park, went to support ESV and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps. Generous donors and sponsors made it possible to provide cookies to 12 inner-city schools, classrooms, and care homes, spreading holiday cheer throughout the community.

A highlight this year included the inaugural Cookie Classic hockey event at the mâmawêyatitân centre, where business sponsors competed for the coveted Cookie Classic Cup.

ESV extends its deep appreciation to all of the community partners who helped with the campaign including the Regina Pats Hockey Club, the Regina City Police Services, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Hockey Regina. A heartfelt thank you also goes to the businesses that sponsored the Holiday Smile Cookies for schools and care homes throughout the city.

Proceeds from this year’s campaign will allow even more local youth to get involved in sport and recreation, helping reduce the financial barriers that often prevent some from participating in organized leagues.
