We hope you will kick off the holiday season with kindness and consider helping Ehrlo Sport Venture provide vulnerable youth and families with access to sport and recreation programs. Sport Venture, one of Ranch Ehrlo Society’s community outreach initiatives, was again chosen to be the charity of choice for Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie campaign.
During the week of November 13th to 19th, 100 per cent of the proceeds of the cookie sales sold in Regina, Balgonie, Indian Head, and Emerald Park will help fund our five free recreational leagues for youth (football, soccer, baseball, basketball, and of course, hockey), and support Tim Hortons Foundation Camps.
By reducing the barriers to participation, Sport Venture’s community leagues provide opportunities to those who may otherwise miss out on the many benefits realized by taking part in sports and recreation. Funds raised through this campaign will enable more youth to engage and participate.
“We continue to be extremely grateful to our local Tim Hortons stores for their partnership and friendship. We hope in this second year, we can sell even more cookies so we can continue to provide opportunities to youth who may otherwise miss out on the benefits of taking part in sports and recreation,” said Gloria Patrick, Ehrlo Sport Venture manager.
We encourage you to pre-order your cookies today and to let your friends and family know about the campaign. If you don’t pre-order, cookies will also be sold in-store during the week of November 13th.
Businesses and organizations who support cookie sales are welcome to print this sign showing their community support for Ehrlo Sport Venture and challenge their business colleagues to show their support in matching cookie sales.
“Sport Venture values connection and believes in working collaboratively with community partners like the local Tim Hortons owners. These stores are locally owned by families who, like us, are passionate about making a difference in our community,” added Gloria.
To celebrate the campaign, Ehrlo Sport Venture is holding an open house at Ehrlo Sport Venture (2730 5th Avenue Regina) on Friday, November 17th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to tour the library and enjoy some holiday treats.
