When student Grady was given the task to develop a project where he could raise funds for a non-profit program, he truly delivered dazzling results!

Gloria and Grady

Grady’s school had students work on creating projects focused on donating and giving back to the community. Immediately, Grady planned to support Ehrlo Sport Venture (ESV) because he loves hockey himself and knew that he could help kids who didn’t have access to the sport. Grady’s mom, Deena, works as a manager with Ranch Ehrlo’s Family Treatment Program and helped Grady as he learned how to make earrings and supported his sales and distribution.

In total, Grady raised $170 through his sales. Grady attended Ehrlo Sport Venture to present his cheque and was given a tour of the lending library. He was eager to complete an interview with Gloria Patrick, ESV program manager, to round out his requirements for his class.

Grady reflected on the project stating, “I decided to fundraise because I love hockey and I wanted to do what I could to help others play the sport.”

Deena connected with ESV after Grady presented to the class and said that his project and presentation at school were exactly what the teacher wanted and that he was very proud of himself and the work he did to support the ESV program.

In recognition of his donation, Grady was given an Outdoor Hockey League sweatshirt.

Gloria remarked, “We are thankful for Grady’s hard work and ingenuity in developing this project which led to his donation to ESV. Grady is an incredible youth ambassador, and we look forward to seeing his business grow!”
