Ehrlo Sport Venture is one of Ranch Ehrlo Society’s community services – and being a community service means that it’s of utmost importance that we are out in the community as much as possible! We strive to continually connect with the people we serve so that we can better determine their needs.

Some of the ways Ehrlo Sport Venture does this is are obvious – for example, providing sports equipment for community events. We will be lending 250 pairs of skates and as many helmets as possible to NDP MP Erin Weir’s office for their Family Skate Day on February 20th. Join us at Optimist Rink (222 Sunset Drive, Regina) at 4:30 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon! We will have staff on hand to assist, whether it be tying skates properly or learning a little more about how to take those first few glides on ice.

But we also help our communities by forming partnerships with other organizations in the vicinity, such as that of the Optimist Clubs of Regina. Their annual luncheon is slated for February 11th and Sport Venture manager Amanda McConnell will be featured as the guest speaker, discussing how the clubs have come together to sponsor the Outdoor Hockey League since its inception. Partnerships such as this allow us to offer recreational opportunities to so many more children, youth, and families than we could if we were trying to do it on our own.

If you have an event that you would like Sport Venture’s help with, please contact our manager, Amanda.
