As a result of the increased additions and suicide rates, police in the area have partnered with two local Indian organizations, CHIA International and Help, Inc., to create the treatment camp centred around hockey. The hope is that the game will be used to re-instill a sense of identity and belonging in these youth, as well as teach them some life skills.
