Participating in the Monday Night Football (MNF) league has been an incredibly positive experience. The league promotes not only physical fitness but also teamwork, sportsmanship, and community building. It provides a fun and inclusive environment for everyone, regardless of skill level, to come together and enjoy the sport. The MNF league has been a fantastic opportunity to connect with others, stay active, and develop essential life skills through football. I’m grateful to Sport Venture and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities for making this accessible to our community!

Being in the MNF, we are so grateful for a chance you’ve given us. It is a big help for my son to be a member of it, he’s learned a lot from the team and thank you for all the coaches that being an instrument to shape my son being sports person. This is my daughter’s 3rd season for the MNF league. She didn’t want to do the 1st league, but we convinced her to participate and here we are, today she loves learning and playing football. She has started learning the rules and tactics of the game. Thanks to all the coaches and Ehrlo Sport Venture team to organize the league and giving the kids the chance to learn.

Children and youth involved in MNF have had the chance to improve self-esteem and self-confidence, learn about teamwork and as volunteers and coaches have had a chance to help them through strengthening and developing social skills. MNF provides a strong avenue for children to acquire and experiment the skills they have learned and subsequently collaborate with their teammates to apply the skills in game settings. Many of children wouldn't be able to play if it wasn't free, that's a barrier in low-income families. It's free, accessible and the children have lots of fun on the field. Seeing the smiles, great attitudes and high fives between the children is great for them while learning new skills. These things from the children motivate me to continue as a volunteer parent coach with Sport Venture.

I must say having the Regina Pats players come and participate with the kids was amazing, a special memory to have forever! “My daughter wanted to give hockey a try, but I was hesitant given the cost of registration and equipment. Ehrlo Sport Venture’s Outdoor Hockey League provided a perfect opportunity for her to give hockey a try without the big upfront cost.

This opportunity included knowledgeable and kind coaches who went out of their way to make my daughter felt welcomed. She was especially grateful for the female coach who spent time with her and was a role model. The OHL provided all this as well as opportunities to play at the Cooperators Centre, at Frost and to connect with Regina Pats hockey players.
