Sport Venture says goodbye to 5th Avenue

It was a bittersweet farewell as Ehrlo Sport Venture (ESV) staff stood shoulder to shoulder with players and their families, community partners, and longtime supporters as they said goodbye to their longtime home on 5th Avenue.

Ehrlo Sport Venture is now closed and will reopen in its new location at 1304 Lorne Street, Regina, in early April.

The Sport Venture family hosted a final farewell gathering on March 9.

League players and their families, along with community partners, and supporters of ESV, were invited to Say Hello to the Grey Cup and Goodbye to Sport Venture of 5th Ave. The Saskatchewan Roughriders made a special appearance, bringing the Grey Cup to the event to mark this monumental move for Sport Venture and to celebrate the spirit of sport and recreation together. Andy’s No Frills also supported the farewell party, graciously providing food for the event.

“The relocation of ESV is an important step forward and gives us the room to grow, extend the reach of our programs and lending library, and continue serving our players and their families in meaningful ways,” said Gloria Patrick, manager.

Staying connected throughout this transition is important. We encourage you to visit us at our new location soon, reach out by email, or by phone at 306-751-2411.

Even as Sport Venture transitions to a new space, programming continues. Registration for the Ehrlo Basketball League registration is now open, and staff and volunteers are looking forward to welcoming kids back to the court for tip-off on April 13.
