We are pleased to announce that the South Saskatchewan Community Foundation’s (SSCF) Anonymous Donor Fund has provided Ehrlo Counselling Services (ECS) with $50,000 for the 11th year.
The funds will be used to provide pro-bono counselling for high-risk, vulnerable people in the community who require care for their mental health but are not able to afford to pay for these services.
Natashia Schoenroth, director of Ehrlo Counselling, said, “As the world recovers from the COVID- 19 pandemic, we have seen an even greater need for mental health services. On behalf of Ehrlo Counselling Services, I continue to express our utmost gratitude and appreciation. Because of the funding support from SSCF we continue to be able to provide services to those most in need in our community.”
She explained that with last year’s funds, ECS was able to provide over 400 counselling services to over 100 persons and families in the community.
“There continues to be a need to serve the high-risk, vulnerable persons who have the least access to services. With the pandemic, we have seen a greater rise in lower income families who need access to mental health services,” Natashia explained. “Our thanks again for (SSCF’s) ongoing support to those most in need in our community.”
