Ehrlo Counselling Services has welcomed a new member to its team.
Meagan Strinja, a registered social worker with more than 10 years of experience in the human services profession, will complement the ECS team by delivering high-quality services to clients in the community.
With a special focus on trauma recovery, intergenerational trauma, addiction, and mental health, Meagan is well-versed in addressing challenges such as grief and loss, depression and anxiety, self-harm and suicidality, emotional regulation, self-esteem, parenting, abuse, and neglect.
Meagan is an approved mental health therapist and works with individuals of all ages and demographics from a client-centred, strength-based, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive approach.
When clients take the courageous first step of seeking help, Meagan will work with the individual or family to determine a treatment plan. Counselling approaches that Meagan implements include Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and/or Narrative Therapy.
Meagan’s work emphasizes collaboration, compassion, respect, and autonomy, prioritizing a therapeutic relationship that empowers her clients throughout their healing journey.
