This year’s Ranch Ehrlo Society AGM will once again be held virtually on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 9 a.m. using Microsoft Teams software. All staff, board, senate, and members of the agency are invited to attend this virtual event.
This event is also open to the public, so please join us for this year’s AGM!
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to ranchehrlo.agm@ranchehrlo.ca so that we can accurately track attendance and send you our meeting link and any additional information as it becomes available.
It is with great pleasure that we introduce this year's keynote speaker, Tischa Stefanowski, executive director, Saskatchewan First Nations Family and Community Institute (SFNFCI). Tischa is a member of the Sturgeon Lake First Nation and grew up in Prince Albert, SK. She has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has dedicated her professional experience to working for nonprofit and educational organizations over the past 25 years. In the past 10 years, SFNFCI has grown from 4 to 28 full-time employees and from an office of 1,200 square feet to over 10,000 square feet. Tischa’s values align with the capacity-building mission of SFNFCI to support organizations serving children, youth, and families based on First Nations values with a strength-based approach.
Additionally, we are excited to announce Elder Keith Goulet will lead our opening prayer and provide a brief reflection to kick off the meeting. Originally from Cumberland House in northern Saskatchewan, a traditional lifestyle as a trapper, fisherman, hunter, and gatherer was ingrained in him from a young age. Keith speaks fluent Cree, and aside from his many academic achievements, he has also worked in multiple fields in education, co-authored, became a Cree language consultant, served as a cabinet minister from 1992 to 2001, and served in the Saskatchewan Legislature as an MLA for 17 years.
We are so glad to have you join us this year, Tischa and Elder Keith!
