Ranch Ehrlo Society prioritizes opportunities for staff to grow, evolve, and move forward in their careers.
The organizational flow of the agency, combined with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, provides opportunity for employees to seek and gain experience, moving them toward goals and aspirations.
Sean Forsythe is the latest staff to propel forward, being promoted from a youth care leader to program manager.
Sean is a familiar face around the Ranch, having worked at the agency for 15 years, spending time in both the Supported Living Programs and Group Living Treatment Services (GLTS). When he decided to expand his skills and venture to the GLTS side of the agency in 2021, he grew both personally and professionally.
“Over the years I have had the opportunity to strengthen my skills by covering management positions while leaders were away. It was through these experiences, that I started to gain confidence in my leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills which allowed me to motivate those that I worked alongside.”
“I am excited about this new opportunity,” he continued. “My hopes are focused on fostering an environment of collaboration, creativity, and growth. I want to ensure that I provide support, guidance, and empowerment to those that I am working alongside, and, for myself, I want to continue learning and growing as a leader.”
The opportunity for Sean, and all staff, to grow with the agency is important to succession planning and the preservation of Ranch Ehrlo’s legacy, said Mike Deis, director of GLTS.
“People, long-term employees especially, need new challenges and opportunities for professional development and promotion,” he explained. “We’ve expanded a lot over the years and to maintain our culture with long-term staff members, who have some history with the organization, is critical to keep things operating well.”
