Through a commitment to education, collaboration, and innovation, Ranch Ehrlo Society continues to enhance its programs and services – creating meaningful change for individuals, families, and communities.
This past October, Vance Heaney, director of clinical services, presented at the 21st annual Transformational Collaborative Outcomes Management (TCOM) conference in Chicago. His presentation, “Beyond Compliance”, highlighted how Ranch Ehrlo has successfully integrated TCOM’s person-centred assessment tools with the incredible standards of its accrediting body, the Council on Accreditation.
TCOM is a framework developed by Dr. John Lyons and is used across Ranch Ehrlo’s treatment programs to collect and analyze person-centred data to determine care needs and measure outcomes. TCOM’s assessment tools are used in our Supported Living Programs (the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment), Group Living Treatment Services (Child Adolescent Needs and Strength), and the family programs (the Family Advocacy and Support Tool).
Ranch Ehrlo’s collaboration with Dr. John Lyons and TCOM has been long-standing. This relationship recently advanced further through a formal data-sharing partnership, enabling researchers to conduct a deep analysis of Ranch Ehrlo’s assessment data.
“The partnership with Dr. Lyons and the TCOM approach has been strong for many years, and it’s going to become stronger now because of this partnership,” said Vance. “This is a significant advantage for Ranch Ehrlo; it positions us to be a leader in the field of treatment services and reaffirms our commitment to excellence.”
“This data analysis will allow us to look closer at the outcomes of our programs and participants and identify areas where we are strong and where adjustments can be made,” he continued. “It’s an opportunity for us to stay ahead of the curve and to ensure we’re always in line with new, and emerging best practices.”
Looking ahead, Ranch Ehrlo will continue to build on this momentum. In March 2026, Vance and Kim Sanders of Grafton Integrated Health Network will co-present at another conference in Chicago. This opportunity, after only one year of Ukeru implementation at Ranch Ehrlo, highlights the progress and dedication to innovative, client-centred care.
Ranch Ehrlo is committed to providing the best care possible, and this presence on an international stage underscores the agency’s commitment to evidence-based practices, excellence in service delivery, and ongoing leadership in the field of human services.
