Join us for our 8th annual powwow!
We are excited to announce that our 8th annual powwow will take place on Treaty 4 Territory at our Pilot Butte campus on August 28, 2025.
The day will begin with male and female pipe ceremonies at 8:30 a.m., followed by a feast at 10:30 a.m., and the grand entry at 1 p.m. Competitive-style dancing will be featured throughout the day, with cash prizes awarded to the top performers in each age group and dance category.
Dancer registration will be available on-site starting at 11 a.m.
Following the grand entry, the family-style carnival and inflatables will open at 2 p.m., with the canteen running from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The canteen will offer complimentary snacks, while carnival games and prizes will be available for attendees of all ages.
This year, we are excited to introduce an all-new sensory tipi, a welcoming space designed to provide a calming environment for those who may need a break from the excitement.
Our powwow is open to the public and welcomes everyone to experience and engage with Indigenous culture while learning about the work we do at Ranch Ehrlo Society.
“The powwow has become an important event for our community, bringing people together to celebrate culture, tradition, and belonging,” said a planning committee member. “Each year, we see more dancers, spectators, and families join us, creating a space where Indigenous traditions are honoured and shared. We’re excited to see the event continue to grow and to welcome even more people to this year’s celebration.”
