Tiny Art Show to strengthen community connection

Ranch Ehrlo is proud to present the Tiny Art Show — a fall exhibition designed to engage participants and create stronger connections in the local community.

Hosted in partnership with the Pilot Butte Public Library, the exhibit will showcase miniature artworks curated by youth from our Pilot Butte campus, along with participants from the Family Treatment Program, Supported Living Program, and Group Living Treatment Services in Regina.

The inaugural show is the result of a shared desire of the agency and the municipality’s leaders to strengthen relationships and deepen the community’s understanding of Ranch Ehrlo Society and its many programs and participants.

“People in the community of Pilot Butte have stressed that Ranch Ehrlo has always been a good neighbour and, in the spirit of both reconciliation and partnership, would like to use this art event to further build an ongoing relationship,” explained Leslie Charlton, supervisor of Paper Crane.

Ranch Ehrlo’s deep history is rooted in Pilot Butte. The agency was founded by the late Dr. Geoff Pawson in 1966 when the Pilot Butte property was purchased from Cliff and Julia Ehrle. What started as a single home for six boys with significant complex needs evolved to become the Pilot Butte campus, which now includes six homes, a school, administration building, family home, and two emergency receiving programs. Ranch Ehrlo also operates beyond these borders as a multi-service agency providing care and support throughout the province.

The Tiny Art Show will celebrate the strong and enduring relationship between Ranch Ehrlo and the town of Pilot Butte – a neighbourly connection that has spanned nearly 60 years.

We invite you to join us at the opening reception on November 30, from 1 – 4 p.m. at the Pilot Butte Town Hall. Not only will you have an opportunity to view the art, but you can also meet the artists and enjoy live music by the Ranch kitohcikewin music group.
