Youth spreads her wings, ready to fly
A participant at Ranch Ehrlo’s Matheson House in Prince Albert has grown into a determined young woman, ready to spread her wings and explore all that the world has to offer.
Tasha* is a resilient young woman who has become a role model for her peers by positively influencing and inspiring others to be the best versions of themselves.
While it hasn’t been an easy path, it’s opening doors to new possibilities. Tasha’s remarkable growth, demonstrated by unwavering dedication and perseverance in the face of challenge, has led to opportunities greater than she could have ever imagined.
Tasha’s academic success over the past year earned her an invitation to the University of Saskatchewan’s STEM camp. There, she had the opportunity to connect with fellow students, engage with faculty, and explore experiences beyond her own community. During the camp, Tasha spent meaningful time with her peers and mentors and enjoyed an awards event where she was formally recognized and celebrated for her achievements.
Opportunities continue to unfold for Tasha, who was nominated to attend the Students Commission of Canada Youth Conference in Toronto this year. She fearlessly travelled alone to partake in the conference, gaining insights and connecting with people from all walks of life. Seizing the opportunity, Tasha applied to join Cohort 3 of the Influencer Roster while at the conference. She was recently accepted into this important role, where she will continue to inspire youth on a broader scale.
Tasha believes everyone is capable of success with hard work and dedication. She embodies this philosophy as she continues to grow her leadership role in the community and remains focused on academics and her responsibilities at home. Tasha continues to flourish in all aspects of her life: developing and maintaining healthy relationships, strengthening her cultural identity, and aligning herself with positive community supports.

Through her consistent efforts to grow, uplift others, and make a meaningful impact, she continues to open new doors—not just for herself, but for those around her.
