OHL celebrates its 20th anniversary
The Outdoor Hockey League (OHL) celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2013. From its humble beginnings in a Regina classroom to a league which has spread across Saskatchewan, the OHL allows all youth the opportunity to play hockey by removing the financial barriers.
Ranch Ehrlo Society granted patronage
As of March 7, 2013, Her Excellency Sharon Johnston has accepted to become a patron of the Ranch Ehrlo Society. This recognizes Ranch Ehrlo Society’s outstanding support to society and it brings prestige to our cause.
Ranch Ehrlo named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers
Ranch Ehrlo Society was chosen as one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for 2013.
CHAZ Court breaks ground
On May 13, 2013, Ranch Ehrlo with the Government of Canada, the Province of Saskatchewan, and the City of Regina broke ground on CHAZ Court, a housing development targeted towards youth in transition.
WINGS program introduced to Ranch Ehrlo
The Working towards Independence and Nourishing Growing Skills (WINGS) program was introduced to long-term female clients of Ranch Ehrlo to help them develop skills, and gain work experience to achieve greater independence.
New Emergency Receiving Program introduced to Ranch Ehrlo Society
A new program opened at Ranch Ehrlo to provide emergency receiving services for children ages 12 to 15 on a short-term basis to provide a safe place for children to live while the Ministry of Social Services develops a plan.
New classroom space developed at Buckland campus
A new classroom was developed at the Hansen Education Centre on the Ranch Ehrlo Buckland campus to better accommodate student’s academic studies and life skills classes. Construction of the classroom commenced in June 2013 and was completed in September.
Clinical Assessment and Ehrlo Counselling Services relocate
Clinical Assessment, Ehrlo Counselling Services, Human Resources, and additional Ranch Ehrlo departments relocated from offices throughout Regina to a new building at 1951 Francis Street.
Completion of group home renovation and construction projects
The renovation projects at Rorison House and Jewison house were completed in 2013, along with the construction of two brand new group homes: Jordan House and Mitchell House.
Ranch Ehrlo honoured at 2013 National Housing Day
Ranch Ehrlo Society’s Ehrlo Housing was one of five organizations to be recognized at the 2013 National Housing Day luncheon in Regina on Nov. 15, 2013.
Ranch Ehrlo Society films new promo video
Ranch Ehrlo Society filmed a new informational video highlighting residential programming and community services offered by the agency.
New acting president/CEO appointed
At its Dec. 3, 2013 meeting, the board of directors of the Ranch Ehrlo Society appointed Linda Meyer as acting president/CEO effective Jan. 1, 2014. This appointment followed the previously announced retirement of the agency’s then president/CEO Dr. Marion MacIver.
