Career Descriptions
Staff in these roles provide care and support to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioural issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other related issues. They are actively engaged and fully participate in all aspects of the child, youth, and/or adult participant experience, providing care, support, and role modelling. They work to provide the participants with a safe, nurturing, predictable, and structured living environment.
This role provides vocational support to vulnerable persons with complex needs, behavioural issues, developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, and/or other related issues. They provide supervision, training, support, care, and role-modelling to participants in a vocational environment, guiding vocational routines while implementing behavioural and life skill strategies, and assisting participants in meeting their individual and vocational goals.
This role provides clinical assessments, counselling, treatment plans, advocacy, team training, case management, group work, and family work. They also provide clinical consultation to group living and educational/vocational teams.
This role provides home-based family services and support for family care functions including utilizing supporting, role-modelling, adequate parenting and pro-social skills, budgeting, household management, and meeting healthcare needs. They model a safe, nurturing, and structured living environment and assist families in independently accessing community services and resources. This role may include supporting and implementing treatment plans and ensuring that family strengths are maximized.
Psychologists provide professional leadership in the development and delivery of clinical services. The psychologist's main role is to provide counselling services, conduct initial assessments, communicate, and collaborate on psychological interventions accordingly, and develop treatment recommendations that are evidence-based and best practice. The psychologist also provides clinical consultation to internal and external stakeholders.
