At Ranch Ehrlo, we know that all children are different, and some children have complex needs that are best met within a family setting. We developed our unique Treatment Foster Care Services to serve these children. The programs are a partnership between Ranch Ehrlo and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Social Services.
Our program professionalizes foster care. We seek out qualified foster parents in and around the cities of Regina, Saskatoon, North Battleford, and Prince Albert to provide a loving and supportive family environment and provide them with competitive professional remuneration. Our foster parents assume responsibility for youth in their care as well as ensure the youth are actively involved with their community and families whenever possible.
Family-based program
The family-based treatment home is a type of treatment foster care home run by foster parents and supported by in-home child and youth care workers. Ranch Ehrlo provides a home and vehicle for families to use. The child and youth care workers will be employed by Ranch Ehrlo and will rotate in and out of the home, providing support. Families will also have access to Ranch Ehrlo’s assessment and therapeutic services.
Treatment Foster Care program
Our Treatment Foster Care program is a specialized, accredited foster care service. According to our foster parent survey results, one of the greatest strengths of our program is the level of support provided to families and children. All foster families have access to all of Ranch Ehrlo’s assessment and therapeutic services, 24/7 on call support, and respite and in-home supports.
Ranch Ehrlo Society is excited about the opportunity to work cooperatively with the Ministry of Social Services in order to have Treatment Foster Parents receive PRIDE pre-service training as part of their home assessment and approved as a foster home resource.
