You might image from the name ‘Ranch Ehrlo Society’ that we are located out in a nice quiet, sedate country environment. That is true and it isn’t. Some of the Ranch facilities are located in a rural setting but my office is located right smack in the middle of downtown Regina.
There are actually two Ranch offices downtown; mine - which is a hodgepodge of employees who don’t really have departments, and the office across the hall which holds the Ehrlo Counselling Service (ECS).
ECS is a division of the Ranch but the counselling services they provide, including psychological assessment, training and consultation services, are open to the general public, as well as business and pro bono clients.
Hallway of degrees
The therapists and counsellors who work at ECS, are highly competent and super nice. They are also highly educated. Highly, highly educated.
When I go across the hall every day to get my morning cup of coffee, I don’t just cross paths with fellow Ranch staff, no I cross paths with multiple bachelor degree holders, at least seven masters and a sprinkling of Phds.
That’s more education in one room than in my whole graduating class back home. ..and it’s all directed to helping our community.
