Staff, stakeholders, and special guests gathered together on Sept. 24, 2015, to review and celebrate a year of excellence at Ranch Ehrlo Society.

President/CEO Andrea Brittin, along with board chair Cyril Kesten, reflected upon the success of Ranch Ehrlo’s programs, services, and operations over 2014-2015.

“This past year was one of new directions and exciting ventures,” Andrea said from the podium. “The agency’s programs and services continued to evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of our clients and communities.”

The transformative year was marked by a change in senior leadership. This past year, Andrea Brittin was appointed as the agency’s president and CEO and assumed her new role and responsibilities in August 2014. The year also marks the end of Cyril’s two year term as board chair.

In efforts to sustain success and satisfy growth, the agency welcomed several new programs and changes during the course of 2014-2015. The Family Treatment Program expanded to include three new families with additional rental units and staff; property at Chitek Lake was reclaimed and developed to benefit the Therapeutic Camping Program; the pocket-suite apartment building, Chaz Court, opened in Regina; the Alternative Vocational Education Program (AVEP) and Supportive Living Program - D (SLP D) were launched; and the Reflection Centre at the Pilot Butte campus was unveiled.

For all the work that has been accomplished and the excellence that has been achieved, Ranch Ehrlo was once again recognized as a great place to work, said Andrea. In February 2015, the agency was named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for the fourth consecutive year.

Both Andrea and Cyril took a moment to pay special respects to board members Mike Shaw, Quinton Hardage, Craig Chamberlin, and former chair Jim Kenyon, as they rotate off the board.

“Jim made significant contributions to Ranch Ehrlo Society,” said Cyril. “His wisdom and experience will be missed by all.”

New members were also elected to the board including, Bev Betteridge, Annette Revet, Marlys Tafelmeyer, and Dr. Judy White. Debbie McKague was elected as the new board chair.

“I would like to thank all members of the board for their direction and support during this past year,” Andrea said during her closing remarks. “I would like to thank the management team along with all the employees for their tremendous commitment and dedication to the young people, families, and communities that we serve.”
