Ranch Ehrlo Society is combining forces with the Regina Pats to beat the trade deadline and donate hockey equipment to Ehrlo Sport Venture’s Dress a Champion program.

On Jan. 10th, 2015, the community is invited to watch the Pats take on the Prince Albert Raiders all for a good cause.

Fans are invited to “trade” a piece of previously used hockey equipment for a two-for-one voucher for an upcoming Pats game. The previously enjoyed hockey equipment will be donated to Ehrlo Sport Venture’s Dress a Champion program, which provides free hockey gear to hundreds of inner-city children.

“The Pats are the face of hockey in Regina and we thought it would be great to team up,” explained Amanda McConnell, manager of Ehrlo Sport Venture. “We thought it was a great way to raise more awareness for our Outdoor Hockey League (OHL) while having some fun in the process.”

Sport Venture will sell tickets to the Jan.10th game as part of a unique fundraiser. Four dollars from each adult ticket sold will go to directly benefit the OHL.

Ticket prices are as follows:

  • Adults $18

  • Senior $15

  • Students/children $8

“First and foremost we hope everyone will let their hair down and enjoy some hockey together,” said Amanda. “But we also hope to gather lots of donations and support from the community, and form a good relationship with the Regina Pats since many of our youth look up to these hockey players.“

The Pats partnership will give some of the young OHL players a chance of a life time – to play on the ice of the Western Hockey League, said Amanda. During the second intermission of the Jan. 10th game, two of Sport Venture’s OHL teams will skate on the ice.

The Regina Pats will take on the Prince Albert Raiders on trade deadline night Saturday, Jan. 10th at the Brandt Centre. Puck will drop at 7 p.m.
