At its December 3, 2013 meeting, the board of directors of the Ranch Ehrlo Society, appointed Linda Meyer acting president/CEO effective January 1, 2014. This appointment follows the previously announced retirement of the agency’s current president/CEO, Dr. Marion MacIver.
“The board of directors sincerely appreciates the leadership provided by Dr. MacIver during her tenure as president/CEO. Marion, former executive vice-president, assumed the role in January 2012 following the untimely death of the agency’s founder, Dr. Geoff Pawson. The transition under her leadership was seamless and the agency continues to be recognized for its quality programs along with its sound financial position. We wish her well as she embarks upon her plans for retirement. At the same time, the board is most pleased that Linda Meyer has accepted this new role in leading the agency. We look forward to continuing to build upon the relationship already developed between Linda and the board,” stated Dr. Cyril Kesten, board of directors’ chairperson.
Linda Meyer has held a variety of portfolios over the 24 years she has been with the agency. These have included unit manager of Jillings House, founder and director of Ehrlo Counselling Services, and vice-president of clinical services and research.
“I am so pleased that Linda will be the person to follow in my shoes. She is a valued and seasoned agency leader. Linda has the full support of the executive team and the board as she continues to lead the organization along its path of excellence,” commented Dr. MacIver.
The board of directors is currently finalizing its process for the selection of a permanent appointment.
