Laurel Garven joined the Ranch Ehrlo Society of board of directors in 2012. Being familiar with the Ranch’s work through friends and colleagues, she recognized the passion from those who serve the Ranch and was eager to join the ranks.
As current vice chair and secretary of the board, Laurel is next in line for the position of chairperson. She is the future of the leadership of Ranch Ehrlo Society and her forward-thinking promises to benefit the agency in the long run.
Laurel recognizes the importance of planning for what is to come and fully supports the continued efforts the agency is undertaking, such as program reviews, to ensure we remain at the forefront of advocacy and preventative care well into the future.
“Ranch Ehrlo has been serving communities for 50 years!” she said. “No organization is able to celebrate a 50 year anniversary, or plan for the next 50, without continuously focusing on what needs to evolve and change in order to best meet the needs of clients.”
As we move into the future there will undoubtedly be continued transformation throughout the agency – technology, policies, and best practices are constantly evolving and Ranch Ehrlo will transform with them. Laurel believes that so long as client needs remain at the core of the agency’s work and we remain committed to including all employees in the process of change, any adjustments that are made will continue to ensure that Ranch Ehrlo Society is relevant well into the future.
“Any potential changes that could be required will always start with that perspective and will come from all parts of the organization, particularly those who work with our clients on a daily basis,” she explained. “This is how we will determine how our agency needs to evolve to best serve our clients.”
“Although we all hope to see a day where the need for Ranch Ehrlo’s services is diminished, my hope is that the agency will continue to have a daily impact on the lives of so many in our province, and across the country, for years to come.”
Join us as we lay the foundation for the future while celebrating 50 years of success on Sept. 29th at the Queensbury Convention Centre in Regina.
