Changes are coming for the Clinical Assessment and Ehrlo Counselling Services teams.
Both departments will be relocating from their current offices to a new building on 1951 Francis St., slightly off the beaten path of Victoria Avenue East in Regina.
“The staff is excited,” said Gord Swystun, director of Property Management. “The building is going to have new technologies which none of the current locations offer.”
The new office will be a two-storey handicap accessible building optimized with staff parking, 39 sound proof offices, four meeting rooms, nine bathrooms, a new heating and cooling system, and more.
“The building has been designed with the most up to date technology for sound proofing to ensure confidentiality associated with our work,” said Bree Fiissel, director of Ehrlo Counselling.
“Having a meeting space with a two-way mirror will enhance supervision, professional development and training for practicum students as well as current counsellors in developing and maintaining skills,” she continued.
“The building has been designed to meet the specific needs of the staff and their clients,” said Gord.
The proposal for the new Francis Street office building came in November 2011, after cost savings and a plan for growth were identified and developed.
“While the Clinical Assessment Team and Ehrlo Counselling Services will remain two distinct programs, I am hopeful for greater opportunity to share professional resources,” said Carmel Kleisinger, director of Clinical Assessment/Resource Team. “Housing the two clinical programs in one building could mean various exciting future initiatives.”
Clinical Assessment will be closed on September 26 and 27 for moving, but will resume services on September 30.
Ehrlo Counselling Services will move on October 8. Regular business for the community clients will resume on October 10. During this time, Ehrlo Counselling Services will prioritize any critical needs that arise for clients and will maintain necessary services.
Communications, Facilities, Human Resources, Treatment Foster Care Program, and coordinator for the Ehrlo Vocational Program and director of Ehrlo Early Learning Centres will also move to 1951 Francis St. this fall.
