Ranch Ehrlo Society has created a space to honour past champions and commemorate their contributions to the agency.
The legacy left by Ranch staff and board members has taken the shape of a brick and mortar Reflection Centre at the Pilot Butte campus.
“In 2006, Geoff Pawson (Ranch founder) talked about creating a place where we could come and talk about our agency and those who shaped us to become what we have today,” vice-president of Clinical Services Linda Meyer said during the opening reception on Sept. 25th.
“Former president/CEO Marion MacIver moved Geoff’s vision to create this Reflection Centre. With the help of Gord Swystun, Kate Langen, Barb Pawson, and Barb Ryan we have found a way to honour and commemorate those who shaped the face of our organization.”
The green space, located just behind the Hudson Administration Building, has been made complete with a pergola, stone walkway, engraved rocks, seating area, and most importantly, a commemorative wall to display recognition plaques of those staff and board members who have passed away.
“It’s been made to be a very friendly place,” said Barbara Pawson. “I know Geoff would have been happy with it.”

“It’s great to honour the past,” said CEO/president Andrea Brittin. “And it’s such a beautiful, peaceful setting.”
