Sport Venture has teamed up with Bennett Dunlop Ford and the Regina Pats for a feel-good evening at the rink!

On January 6^th, the evening’s WHL home game action will double as an equipment drive for Ehrlo Sport Venture. Maybe you received some new sports equipment for Christmas – get rid of the old stuff and donate to a good cause at the same time!

We are looking for donations of equipment that is clean and in good useable condition, including hockey, basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and other sporting equipment. It will be used to outfit our league participants and fill out the Sport Venture Library. But it gets better – the first 500 people to bring in their gear will receive a coupon to have their car professionally cleaned at Bennett Dunlop Ford!

Collections will take place near the box office at the Brandt Centre between 6 and 7 p.m. Sport Venture staff and volunteers, along with Kidsport, Bennett Dunlop and Pats employees, will be there to collect the equipment. Bennett Dunlop will provide trucks to transport the equipment to Sport Venture.

January 6^th has also been designated Blue Jay’s Night, so be sure to dress in blue and stick around for the home game action!

Speaking of hockey – it’s not too late to register for the Outdoor Hockey League. All participants receive full gear for the duration of the season, free of charge. The league officially kicks off January 4th and runs til mid-March.

At Sport Venture, we believe that everyone should have the right to play. We work to provide inner-city youth and families with control of, and access to, a variety of recreational programs.
