Trudy BoschJune 1, 2015 marked the 49th year since Ranch Ehrlo opened its doors. Back then we had one house, a hand full of staff and six clients. A lot has changed since then.

Check out this timeline to see some of the highlights over the last 49 years.


  • 1966 - The Ranch Ehrlo Society opens on June 1st

  • 1971 - The agency becomes accredited through the Child Welfare League of America

  • 1979 - Classroom building (Schaller School) constructed at the Pilot Butte Campus

  • 1984 - A special needs unit for psychiatrically disabled youth opens

  • 1985 - RES Industries Inc. established to provide training and pre-employment services to multi-problem youth

  • 1992 - Schaller School becomes an accredited independent school

  • 1992 - The Outdoor Hockey League (OHL)/Dress a Champion introduced as a Schaller School project

  • 1995 - Ehrlo Community Services (ECS) established as an associated charity of Ranch Ehrlo (replaced RES Industries Inc.)

  • 1997 - Ehrlo Community Services purchases 48-unit apartment complex known as Lakeshore Village (start of Ehrlo Housing)

  • 1998 - McNamara Family Unit opens on Pilot Butte campus

  • 1998 - New Schaller Education Centre and Liski Gym opens

  • 2002 - Ehrlo Daycare (renamed Ehrlo Early Learning Centre) opens at W.F. Ready School

  • 2010 - Ehrlo Early Learning Centre opens four new sites in the city of Regina

  • 2011 - ECS and Ranch Ehrlo amalgamate to provide a seamless continuum of services to all clients

  • 2011 - The Ranch receives approval from the Ministry of Social Services to officially launch its Treatment Foster Care Program

  • 2012- The founder of the Ranch Dr. Geoff Pawson passes away. Dr. Marion MacIver becomes the new CEO and president

  • 2013 - Paper Crane Community Arts Centre opens

  • 2014 - Andrea Brittin becomes the new CEO and president
