Residential treatment
Approximately 80% of the youth that come to the Ranch’s residential programs are Aboriginal. Nick discusses why the term ‘residential’ may have some negative associations that are triggered from the using that term.
One similarity but 100’s of differences.
The Ranch programs and residential school have one common element – they both involve children leaving their families. Nick discusses how the results of the Ranch are much different and how we work to improve the lives of our youth and its part of his job to work with the administration and staff to build positive images of the Ranch for tribal councils and Aboriginal organizations.
