A study of love
The artwork of a select group of Ranch Ehrlo youth was displayed at a public exhibit in Regina throughout the summer months.
The Dunlop Art Gallery and Regina Public Library partnered with Paper Crane to present the work of youth (ages 10 to 14) who are enrolled in the education program at Ranch Ehrlo Society.
The group explored the theme of love, because “it is something everyone could use a little more of,” the group cited at their exhibition.
The paintings expressed the ideas of several different types of love including romantic love, family love, love of nature, the qualities of love, and friendship.
Paper Crane Community Arts’ mission is to foster well-being through artistic exploration and expression. Its philosophy reflects the beliefs that creative expression and exploration is the gateway to personal growth through understanding the role of the self in one’s own processing, interactions, and relationships. Paper Crane uses creative arts programming to assist Ranch Ehrlo clients and individuals in the community with personal growth and well-being; supporting a stronger individual within a stronger community.
